About The Position

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for the daily accounting data entry for the location, as well as providing general administrative support to the Accounting department. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of Accounts Payable or similar clerical work experience.
  • Excellent written/interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
  • Strong digital literacy in Excel, Outlook, Word and other Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
  • Must be able to learn accounting software systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates payment of vendors via AP invoice entry, which may include setting up new vendors in the accounting system, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
  • Updates event catering orders in the system with consumption numbers.
  • Performs data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, and confidential employee or departmental files.
  • Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  • Assists in the review and completion of catering service orders.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
