About The Position

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Associate will manage financial records, perform account analysis, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. The Accounting Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
  • Must be able to complete required paperwork and report information utilizing Plex or another required software.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Must have the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting concepts and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and sorts of documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
  • Audits invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approves payment.
  • Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
  • Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.
  • Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
  • May reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers.
  • May extract general ledger information.
  • May compile cost reports and revenue and balance sheets.
  • May reconcile bank statements.
  • Monitors accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.
  • Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
  • Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
  • Reviews, balances, interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
  • Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
