About The Position

Freddie Mac’s Finance Division is seeking curious, motivated Accounting & Finance Interns to gain entry-level, hands-on experience in accounting, finance, business analysis, and the mortgage industry. This role supports accounting activities related to “closing the books” and producing accurate GAAP financial statements. The intern will develop business understanding by reporting on and analyzing data, assist in preparing unbiased financial reports on business performance for internal management, gain an understanding of specialized areas of the Finance Division and related areas of the company, and contribute to projects that help solve business problems with guidance from experienced team members. The intern will also collaborate with colleagues to execute projects, share knowledge, and build relationships.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Current junior in college or rising senior at the time of the internship
  • Availability to begin the internship in May 2027
  • Graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Must be a great teammate and able to work collaboratively
  • Self-driven, curious, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to the Finance Division
