About The Position

This full-time Accounting Analyst role is based in Dallas, Texas, and supports the accounting and reporting functions for the Sixth Street Management Companies. The role offers ownership in a growing, fast-paced, entrepreneurial team. The position works across multiple firm departments and contributes to financial reporting, accounting close activities, process improvements, and analysis for leadership.

Requirements

Accounting or Finance degree.
2–4 years of relevant experience.
Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
Well versed in Excel, with general ledger and reporting experience.
Strong technical, organizational, oral and written communication, and analytical skills.
Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices.
Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and focus while managing concurrent work streams.
Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive.

Nice To Haves

Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent.
Big 4 public accounting experience.
Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting.
Alteryx experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle.
Assist in performing a detailed monthly review of all P&L activity by Business Unit.
Assist with producing financial reporting deliverables for external parties.
Assist with producing financial reporting deliverables for management.
Assist with the expense allocation close process, including reviewing and analyzing expenses booked and understanding the related allocation methodologies for the management companies.
Assist with the employee allocations process.
Interact with the Deal Team, Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, Financial Planning & Strategy, Tax, and Accounts Payable departments.
Help develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes.
Identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by determining best practices.
Manage and perform special projects and analysis for leadership.
