About The Position

McKesson Canada is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team supporting our pharmaceutical distribution business. In this role, you will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and maintaining the integrity of financial systems and controls. The successful candidate will partner with business leaders across the organization to provide financial insights, support business decisions, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, or a related finance role.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and performing account reconciliations.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or CPA designation in progress.
  • Experience in a large corporate, distribution, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements and internal control enhancements.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform financial analysis and investigate variances in operating results.
  • Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial data and reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial reports for business leaders and corporate finance teams.
  • Partner with operational and cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and recommendations.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and corporate procedures.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Support rolling forecasts, budgeting activities, and financial planning processes.
  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
  • Provide ongoing communication and updates to stakeholders regarding financial performance and accounting matters.
