About The Position

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting, you will provide accounting, analysis, and planning support to corporate departments and artistic services. In a dynamic environment that requires a high degree of autonomy, you will be expected to maintain a partnership-based relationship with these sectors and work closely with them and your colleagues in the Finance team.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a concentration in accounting or the equivalent
  • At least three years of relevant experience in a similar position, ideally at a large company
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel
  • Experience using ERP systems, such as SAP
  • Attention to detail, a high degree of independence, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to adapt to change
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to establish and maintain clear, structured communication
  • Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written

Nice To Haves

  • A recognized accounting designation (a plus)
  • knowledge of Longview is a plus
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that costs and revenues for your assigned sectors are accurately recorded
  • Having a thorough understanding of the operations of the sectors under your responsibility and serving as the point of contact for them
  • Actively participating in the month-end process and completing all tasks related to your sectors by the specified deadlines
  • Preparing monthly variance analyses (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) for your sectors
  • Contributing to the development of quarterly forecasts and actively participating in the budgeting process, while working closely with the directors and senior directors of your sectors
  • Manage corporate allocations among the various business lines
  • Contribute to the integration of the team’s new projects while supporting initiatives for continuous improvement and optimization of accounting processes and internal controls
  • Document your work procedures to facilitate collaboration with your colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s accounting standards and administrative procedures
  • Assist in preparing external audit and tax filings, and respond to inquiries
  • Implement and monitor the necessary internal controls for all processes under your responsibility
