About The Position

As an Accounting Analyst (Level II or III), you will play a key role in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting financial information to support management and leadership decision‑making. You will support core accounting functions while ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and regulations and serve as a trusted resource for internal and external partners. This role also focuses on identifying opportunities to optimize business processes through technology and automation, driving greater efficiency and cost effectiveness. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve sophisticated problems, with more advanced expertise, judgment and mentorship expectations applied at the senior (III) level. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience in the energy industry (Level II) or 4+ years (Level III)
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments
Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial skills

Nice To Haves

CPA
Familiarity with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Experience with Oracle

Responsibilities

Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers
Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for audit processes
Participates in small projects with minimal mentorship and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Processes and analyses significant amounts of data, including issues and transactions
Other duties as assigned
Implement monthly, quarterly, yearly, and invoice closing cycles
Analyze monthly fluctuations in volumes and activity and clearly explain variances
Understand and comply with SOX controls
Ability to work overtime, as needed, during critical monthly and quarterly closing and reporting periods
