About The Position

The Accounting Analyst III plays a key role within the Statutory Reporting team, supporting the preparation and delivery of financial reporting and regulatory filings across multiple insurance entities. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day accounting and reporting activities, managing priorities across multiple deliverables, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulatory requirements. This position offers hands-on experience with statutory reporting, financial analysis, and regulatory processes in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/statutory preferred)
• Strong Excel skills required; experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP) a plus
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented with strong ownership mindset
• Interest in automation, data tools, or AI is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements and supporting schedules
• Manage reporting for assigned entities, ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings
• Support month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Perform variance analysis and maintain analytical schedules to support financial results
• Execute control checks, data validations, and compliance activities
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment
• Contribute to process improvements, including use of automation or emerging tools
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, reporting-driven environment
