About The Position

The Accounting Analyst II owns end-to-end finance support across invoice processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial results, clear variance explanations, and timely corporate deliverables. This role provides local support for Accounts Receivable shared services and ensures SOX related activities are performed in accordance with established procedures, helping to coordinate changes as required, and working with auditors and corporate in the review and testing of SOX related processes. Catalent’s Winchester, KY location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, required
  • Minimum one year of General Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with accounts payable
  • Knowledge of various computer software programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • JD Edwards ERP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Processes invoices from customer service, validating purchase order details (pricing, shipment status, quantities, releases) and resolves exceptions
  • Prepare and distribute daily sales updates based on invoiced activity across Development and Commercial workstreams
  • Produce consolidated headcount reporting for actuals and forecast
  • Balance and process payroll entries including related accruals
  • Develop A/R flash reporting and provide account-level commentary for leadership review
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts without subledger support; investigate variances, understand end-to-end account flows, and resolve issues
  • Utilize JD Edwards 9.1 (ERP) for accurate and timely monthly and quarterly reporting. Leverage direct download capabilities to streamline data entry and use extraction features for ad-hoc projects and analysis
  • Ensure SOX accuracy and compliance, coordinate changes, and assist with audits and testing
