About The Position

We are actively looking for an Accountant with Engineering Consultant Industry Experience to join our Costa Mesa office. As part of the Accounting Group, this role maintains a complete and systematic set of records of business transactions, using generally accepted principles and internal controls. Prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable and payable, and various other financial information, as required by Management. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business; required
7-10 years of accounting experiences in public and/or private industry; required
Experience in engineering consulting industry; required
Strong knowledge in accounting process and procedure, and internal controls
Strong knowledge of GAAP/General Accepted Accounting Principals
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated
All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Nice To Haves

MS in finance, accounting or business; preferred
Experience in engineering consulting industry; required
Experience working in company with 1,000+ employees; preferred
Knowledge/experience with FAR overhead (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

Processes month-end financial close
Reconciles general ledger
Process/reviews various journal entries, including deferred rent, depreciation/amortization, accruals etc.
Performs financial flux analysis and identify trends and variances
Compiles consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, equity statement and cash flow statements
Heavily engaged in financial audit and assist in audit report preparation including disclosures
Compiles financial report and ad hoc reports for quarterly board reporting package
Improves and enhances processes and controls
