We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accountant who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants exposure to both corporate accounting and SEC reporting.

Requirements

• 2 or 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree; or equivalent related experience.
• 2 – 4 years of practical working experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Must be proficient in Excel and Word, as well as literate with other accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must display a high degree of professionalism, ethical standards, confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy in all interactions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills required with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects is essential.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to sales tax compliance and the preparation of month-end journal entries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of month-end journal entries ensuring all month-end expenses are captured.
• Reconciliation of monthly bank statements to ensure accurate cash management as well as other balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare Budget vs. Actual statements at each month end, distributing these to management of organization and fielding phone calls relating to the statements.
• Perform physical inventory counts monthly and the associated journal entries and reconciliation.
• Assist support center with accounting related questions.
• Prepare SEC reports, including form 10-K, form 10-Q, Proxy Statement, 8-K’s, and Section 16 forms.
• Assist in compiling and disseminating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Projects such as researching invoices and assisting with audits.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
