About The Position

CSN is seeking a skilled, hands-on MSO Accountant to support the financial operations of a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven, multi-location organization. This role is responsible for managing accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of corporately owned collision repair locations. The MSO Accountant will play a key role in onboarding and integrating newly acquired locations, establishing consistent accounting practices, and ensuring financial data is accurate, scalable, and ready to support decision-making. Working closely with the MSO Controller, Corporate Accounting, Operations, and FP&A, this role supports growth by translating acquisition activity into structured, standardized financial operations. This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in fast-paced, change-driven environments and enjoys building processes as the business scales.

Requirements

  • CPA designation (or in progress) or equivalent professional accounting designation
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE), corporate compliance, and tax regulations
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multi-location, franchise, or retail environments is an asset (especially in growth or acquisition-driven organizations)
  • Experience with Nexsyis and/or the collision repair industry is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger accounting and financial close activities for a portfolio of corporately owned locations, including newly acquired shops
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring financial statements are accurate, complete, and delivered on time
  • Ensure newly acquired locations are aligned with CSN reporting timelines, standards, and internal controls
  • Support post-acquisition integration, including aligning accounting policies, cleaning up financials, and transitioning opening balances
  • Prepare and analyze financial results at both shop and consolidated levels, providing insights into performance and operational trends
  • Partner with finance leadership and operations to support due diligence follow-up, post-close adjustments, and stabilization of acquired locations
  • Drive standardization and scalability of accounting processes across all locations
  • Ensure accurate and timely HST filings and compliance across multiple entities
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Complete bank reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Support financial audits and potential CRA audits related to corporately owned locations
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with ASPE, with a focus on mitigating risk during periods of growth
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies across finance and accounting functions
