About The Position

The General Accounting position is responsible for recording, cash management, posting recurring monthly journal entries and assisting with month/year end closing activities. Various balancing activities. The position is also cross trained to support accounts payable and staff accountant duties. Requirements

  • 2 years’ general accounting experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SX Enterprise or other ERP system
  • Great interpersonal/communication skills
  • Effective in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare records of daily cash receipts and disbursements and make bank deposits.
  • Post recurring journal entries such as payroll, health care and garage allocations.
  • Book intercompany monthly expenses.
  • Prepare W-9’s
  • Work with the Controller and other team members in carrying out the general duties of the Finance/Accounting department.
  • Back up for Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and DMV. Balancing of G/L accounts.
  • Records management.
  • Sales tax support.
  • All other duties assigned.
