About The Position

Altior Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join their growing team. This position will support the financial operations of their behavioral healthcare organization by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reconciliations and month-end processes, and supporting daily accounting functions across multiple programs and departments. The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional communication and problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with Acumatica strongly preferred
  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
  • Experience preparing closing entries and supporting month-end close processes
  • Experience working within healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site organizations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and journal entries
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and expense tracking
  • Review and reconcile financial discrepancies and variances
  • Maintain organized accounting documentation and records
  • Assist with financial reporting and operational accounting support
  • Collaborate with internal departments regarding accounting and financial needs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Support additional accounting projects and administrative financial tasks as assigned
