About The Position

As an Accountant, you’re the steady hand behind the numbers that shape critical business decisions. You live where precision meets strategy — supporting financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and analysis that drives insight across the organization. Your work ensures that financial data is not only accurate, but meaningful. You don’t just process numbers — you interpret them. Whether you’re preparing financial statements, completing reconciliations, or analyzing trends, you bring structure, rigor, and a deep understanding of how financial data supports business outcomes. Working closely with Treasury, internal teams, and external partners, you play a key role in supporting regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and complex transactions — all while ensuring the integrity of the Bank’s financial results.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field
  • Completion or near completion of a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a related accounting or reporting role
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in financial reporting and accounting environments
  • Ability to adapt quickly to systems and processes in a dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of corporate tax and regulatory reporting requirements is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support monthly and annual financial reporting, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Prepare materials and reports for board and management committees, including regulatory and financial reporting updates
  • Complete and submit regulatory filings to organizations such as OSFI, Bank of Canada, and CMHC within required timelines
  • Support Treasury activities, including securitization transactions, REPOs, and derivative-related processes
  • Manage and support end-to-end mortgage securitization processes, including system validation and reporting accuracy
  • Maintain responsibility for GST/HST accounting, filings, and ongoing compliance updates
  • Contribute to corporate tax reporting, including preparation of annual returns
  • Research accounting and regulatory changes (including IFRS updates) and support implementation
  • Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process documentation and improvements
