About The Position

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager in the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization. This position plays a key role in general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional seeking long-term growth and advancement within a finance organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and financial problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Support all accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Budgeting.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze variances.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with external accounting partners regarding tax filings, audits, and reporting obligations.
  • Monitor internal controls and safeguard organizational assets.
  • Support asset management and risk management initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Support year-end close activities, audits, and annual reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for banking relationships, external auditors, retirement plan providers, insurance carriers, and other financial partners.
  • Supervise accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Accounting functions.
  • Assist in the leadership and development of accounting staff.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Support audit preparation and annual budgeting processes.
  • Review and process insurance-related billings, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.
