About The Position
The Accountant II role is position that will focus on general accounting responsibilities while also managing fixed asset accounting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- CPA/CMA
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards
- Cost Accounting experience
Responsibilities
- General ledger accounting and GL book maintenance
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Process and manage accounts payable invoices when needed
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payment
- Record and maintain fixed asset records in the accounting system
- Conduct physical inventory counts of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies
- Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze reports on fixed asset activity
- Other duties as assigned
