Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Nice To Haves

  • Education or experience in business/finance preferred.
  • Knowledge of Purchase Orders, payment terms, and processing of invoices and/or expense reports.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of PC-based business applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of automated payroll/accounting/business applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic leadership and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting activities and assume responsibility for maintenance of ledger accounts.
  • Understand and analyze activities being performed with respect to theory and company policy.
  • May perform supervisory and training duties.
  • Perform general accounting and other related duties in daily administration of the accounting department.
  • Maintain general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, and setting up new accounts.
  • Monitor accounts receivables collection from individuals and/or institutions, interface with bank; reconcile customer accounts; may also require booking of sales.
  • Maintain accounting records for fixed assets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
