About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly financials, independently managing complex portions of the monthly and year-end close, and preparing related audit schedules. The Accountant II will review, analyze, and resolve intercompany balances and differences with trading partners, driving timely resolution of aged or complex items. They will prepare and review monthly close deliverables to Corporate, as well as monthly management review decks, with appropriate analysis and commentary. This position owns and performs complex general ledger account reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items and unusual fluctuations. The role ensures financial and internal controls are designed, documented, and operating effectively, and contributes to the maintenance and improvement of accounting policies and procedures. The Accountant II will support the Finance Director in the preparation and review of financial statements and key balance sheet reconciliations, and define and drive financial initiatives in support of overall business goals, including process improvements, standardization, and re-engineering of close activities. Proactively reviewing intercompany balances and related processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness is also a key responsibility. The Accountant II will serve as a key contact for external auditors by preparing audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries, and provide technical guidance. They will also lead or participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned by the Finance Director.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong experience with journal entry preparation, month-end close, account reconciliations, analysis, collections, financial reporting, cash receipts, and credit terms
  • Demonstrated ability to follow up proactively and professionally
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or equivalent a plus
  • Experience in a multi-entity and intercompany environment preferred
  • Business Central financial system experience preferred
