JOB SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining and analyzing the company’s state and local tax compliance and government incentive compliance, statutory reporting, and work independently with general supervision from management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in state and local sales and property tax administration and filing, including incentive compliance, sales tax and commissions.
  • Experience in manufacturing accounting.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare state and local sales and use tax, real and personal property tax filings.
  • Prepare state incentive filings and associated reporting.
  • Review and analyzes general ledger account balances.
  • Verify accuracy, makes recommendations for corrections.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze data related to overall profit and cost detail.
  • Prepare timely reports and communication with functional areas.
  • Support the preparation of forecast and work cell statements.
  • Train other employees both within and outside the department.
  • Prepare complex entries relating to cost accounts.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
