About The Position

We have an immediate need for an Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. You will support the Materials Group business in multiple systems, including Oracle R12. You will be responsible for booking journal entries and completing account reconciliations, as well as complying with SOX requirements by providing needed information and overseeing several SOX controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an Accounting degree is strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Oracle Experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, specifically on the job experience with Macros, Pivot Tables and V-Lookup preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and review of balance sheets and cut-off procedures.
  • Perform accurate and timely balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Standardize General Accounting processes, identify best practices, and implement process improvements
  • Complete cost rolls
  • Assist in the coordination and testing of SOX controls
  • Ensure internal control compliance by assisting in the coordination and testing of SOX controls.
  • Work with divisions and corporate on various projects
  • Prepare tax reports, quarterly corporate schedules, and year-end financial documentation.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and collaboration while maintaining the highest standards of business ethics.
