About The Position

This position will join a VOX Global team that advises Fortune 100 companies on corporate responsibility (CR) strategy, communications, and reporting. The role contributes to the development and execution of integrated communications programs focused on sustainability, environmental, and social impact issues. Key responsibilities include developing content and executing multi-channel communications strategies across earned, paid, social, executive thought leadership, and digital platforms. The role will also contribute to the development of sustainability and impact reports, helping clients communicate performance and progress while supporting compliance with evolving regulatory and voluntary disclosure requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in corporate responsibility and sustainability, familiarity with the sustainability reporting landscape, and experience advising clients on how to communicate complex environmental and social issues to investors, employees, customers, and other key stakeholders. Strong interpersonal, writing, research, and project management skills are essential, along with exceptional attention to detail and a collaborative mindset. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple workstreams, working directly with clients, and contributing to integrated communications and reporting initiatives. Familiarity with digital communications and experience across paid, social, and digital media channels are strongly preferred. The position will be based in Washington, DC, where our culture includes being in the office 3 days a week. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate responsibility, sustainability, or strategic communications, with a focus on following areas: sustainability reporting, earned media, paid media, social media, project management, stakeholder engagement, or issue advocacy.
  • Strong project management experience, including timeline creation and management, budget oversight and staffing, and development of tools to track complex projects with multiple work streams.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills that reflect: 1) an ability to clarify and simplify complicated issues and diverse subject matter, and 2) versatility in tone and technique depending on the author and/or audience.
  • Experience interfacing directly with clients in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to develop and edit high-quality written materials, including sustainability reports, speeches/talking points, social media copy, bylines, press materials, and educational content.
  • Experience or familiarity with voluntary and regulated sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, negotiate approvals diplomatically, and maintain composure and production quality under constant deadline pressure.
  • Ability to illustrate a results-focused approach with a commitment to going the extra mile for clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with digital communications and experience across paid, social, and digital media channels are strongly preferred.
  • Experience, or at minimum a desire to gain experience, in cultivating new business — from networking to proposal and pitch development.
