Account Strategist - (Nonprofit Fundraising Account Manager) (Copy)

Midwestern Interactive Growth Team•Lincoln, NE

About The Position

The Creative Planner owns creative direction and project briefing for agency customers, partnering closely with account-level media planners and the studio director. The role ensures work is technically accurate, detailed, aligned with customer objectives and brand standards, and effectively brings customers’ ideas to life. It is a clarity-and-authorship role for someone with mid-level agency or creative-production experience who takes satisfaction in details and helping others do their best work. The role authors project briefs and creative direction, gathers and governs resources needed for execution, and keeps brief content and supporting materials current as campaigns launch or change. It coordinates with Program & Production Management on schedules and handoff readiness, while not owning Mission Control or trafficking. Success means assigned briefs are complete, linked to resources, ready for critique, and delivered on schedule, with clients and Client Services reporting clearer briefs and cleaner handoffs.

  • Demonstrated strength in writing clear, detailed creative briefs, charters, or equivalent work-order artifacts.
  • Extreme attention to detail and a preference for clarity over cleverness in written direction.
  • Comfort partnering daily with a planning and production counterpart without taking on that counterpart’s scope.
  • Ability to reference structured content libraries and assets rather than creating one-off copy dumps in briefs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain creative choices and accept critique without ego.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent jobs under deadline pressure.
  • Willingness to work in evolving systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Digital media experience.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or cause-marketing creative workflows.

  • Exposure to catalogued product/package systems or structured briefing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Author creative direction for each assigned project, including component-level direction notes and related creative fields.
  • Gather, draft, and govern client and project resources required for execution, including stories, offers, proof points, brand assets, photos, style guides, and templated assets.
  • Maintain sufficient fluency in strategic and production context to create accurate briefs.
  • Prepare work for review by Agency Creative Strategists for strategic and brand alignment, and for customer approval.
  • Keep creative appendices, resource links, and brief content current as campaigns launch or change.
  • Coordinate with Program & Production Management on schedules and handoff readiness without owning Mission Control or trafficking.
  • Flag incomplete resource readiness early so jobs do not advance with invented content placeholders.
  • Uphold brand and customer requirements through careful attention to detail and clear, plain-language direction.
  • Continuously improve brief quality, consistency, and handoff cleanliness across the assigned book of work.
