About The Position

The Account Services Specialist manages, prioritizes, and releases medical and imaging records through mail or courier service. The role also manages and distributes incoming record requests received through online submission, email, and fax. Candidates must be certified Notaries Public.

Requirements

Must be a certified Notary Public.
Strong organizational, time-management, networking, verbal communication, and written communication skills.

Ability to understand and present health information data while remaining HIPAA compliant.
Flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in the industry and office.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in customer service and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

Manage mailouts in MRO Clinics CarePortal to ensure efficient releases of information.
Verify that recipient information is accurate and complete for each mailout.
Release medical records, imaging, and forms in paper or electronic formats according to MRO Clinics policies and procedures and/or requester preference.
Coordinate courier pickup of packages when applicable.
Coordinate with notaries for certifications before release when applicable.
Manage and distribute incoming records requests received through email, online submission, and the MRO Clinics main fax line.
Provide accurate and timely status updates to requesters by email or phone.
Assist patient and requester walk-ins, coordinating with Account Managers as needed regarding STAT requests or questions.
Pull and/or burn imaging records to CD/DVD for release by mail or patient pickup.
Monitor office supply inventory and request additional supplies as needed.
Escalate issues and errors to department leaders as necessary.
