About The Position

The Account/Project Manager bridges the gap between Account Management and Technical Operations, requiring you to navigate both client strategy and project execution. This role involves strategic account management, sales acumen, and technical project leadership. You will be responsible for building strategic relationships with key decision-makers in the Life Science industry, identifying growth opportunities, and securing renewals to achieve revenue goals. You will also write technical proposals, develop action plans, and deliver quarterly business reviews. On the technical side, you will provide project management support, including scheduling, budget oversight, risk management, and resource allocation. You will lead cross-functional teams of engineers and SMEs, ensuring deliverables comply with relevant standards and regulations (cGMP, FDA, etc.). The role involves managing a portfolio of projects covering areas such as combination product commercialization, process validation, and technology transfer, utilizing the Kymanox PM Toolkit™ and PMI best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management or Business Development, combined with at least 2+ years of direct Project/Program Management.
  • Knowledge in two or more of the following practice areas: CGMP Manufacturing (Pharma, Biotech, Device), Validation (Equipment, Facility, Utility, Process, Cleaning, Method, Computer), Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, Technical Services, Manufacturing Sciences, Quality Control or Analytical Science, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Technology Transfer, Clinical or Medical Services, Late Stage Process or Product Development (Pharma, Biotech, Device).
  • Project Management in accordance with PMI.org and Kymanox best practices
  • Experienced in use of Project Management tools, such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and Office Timeline
  • Works cooperatively in a matrixed team environment
  • Seasoned soft skills with the ability to motivate teams and navigate client conflicts with diplomacy.
  • Strong professional presence with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who balances "doing things right" (managerial) with "doing the right thing" (leadership).

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned Life Science accounts, building trusted, strategic relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Identify partnership and contract growth opportunities, follow up on warm leads, and help secure renewals to achieve revenue goals.
  • Write technical proposals and develop action plans for project opportunities, ensuring they align with client needs and Kymanox capabilities.
  • Deliver quarterly business reviews and maintain accurate forecasting within the CRM.
  • Provide technical project management support, including scheduling, budget oversight, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and SMEs, ensuring deliverables comply with relevant standards and regulations (cGMP, FDA, etc.).
  • Manage a portfolio of projects covering focus areas such as combination product commercialization, process validation, and technology transfer.
  • Utilize the Kymanox PM Toolkit™ and PMI best practices to drive project success.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
