About The Position

OpTalent is partnering with a leading Canadian HVAC and mechanical services provider to hire a Strategic Account Manager for their London, Ontario region. This is a relationship-driven account management role where you will inherit an established portfolio of commercial customers. The focus is on retention, service agreement growth, and identifying new project opportunities across an existing client base. This is not a cold-calling-heavy role, but there is a strong expectation to proactively uncover expansion opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years in Account Management, Customer Success, or consultative B2B sales
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s licence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical services, facilities management, or building systems (strong asset)
  • Proven success managing and growing existing accounts and service agreements
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial HVAC service accounts
  • Own preventative maintenance (PM) agreement renewals and drive customer retention
  • Identify opportunities for HVAC upgrades, retrofits, repairs, and capital projects
  • Develop account growth strategies across multi-site and key accounts
  • Act as the primary point of contact for facility managers, property managers, and building owners
  • Collaborate with Operations, Service, and Project teams to deliver seamless execution
  • Ensure accurate CRM tracking of account activity, forecasts, and opportunities
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and act as escalation point for service issues
