About The Position
Otis is seeking an Account Manager to cover the Kansas City/Missouri territory. Reporting to the General Manager, this role maintains a portfolio of customers through excellent customer service and account management, and sells incremental repair projects. The Account Manager develops customer relationships, addresses customer needs, and manages sales opportunities through negotiation and close. Otis is the world’s leading elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation, and service company, with a global workforce and a focus on Safety, Ethics, and Quality.
Requirements
- Business or technical degree, or completed training as a technician or technical business administrator.
- Initial experience selling technical service agreements that require consultation.
- Strong customer and service orientation, including excellent interpersonal skills.
- High level of commitment and reliability.
- Target-focused approach and ability to work at pace in a demanding, complex corporate organization.

- Relevant prior work experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of elevator units and maintain strong working relationships with existing customers.
- Act as the primary contact for timely resolution of customer inquiries and needs.
- Develop a sales strategy to achieve sales targets.
- Use Otis sales tools to track opportunities and pipeline and forecast sales results.
- Conduct sales negotiations and close deals.
- Collaborate with other sales representatives and field colleagues.
