About The Position

Rubber Inc. is an established warehouse distribution company serving the automotive, commercial, and off-road industries. Since 1939, the company has supplied tools, equipment, tire repair products, and related materials to customers nationwide through multiple distribution locations across the United States. We are currently seeking an Account Manager based in the Jacksonville, Florida area to support territory growth through relationship management, customer development, and outside sales efforts. This role is responsible for maintaining existing accounts while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities throughout the assigned market. The ideal candidate is an energetic and self-motivated sales professional with experience in automotive-related industries and a strong ability to build lasting customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Previous outside sales and cold-calling experience required
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Strong prospecting and new business development skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Professional demeanor and customer-focused mindset
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory (approximately 2,800–3,800 miles per month)
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and follow-through

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of sales experience in automotive or related industries preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand an established customer base within the assigned territory
  • Conduct regular in-person customer visits to strengthen relationships and generate sales growth
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities through outreach and networking efforts
  • Assist customers with inventory management and customized purchasing programs
  • Promote and introduce new products to both current and prospective accounts
  • Process customer orders and support territory revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM tools
  • Collaborate with vendors to provide product education and support to customers
  • Work closely with regional leadership to identify opportunities and resolve challenges
  • Deliver excellent customer service and professionally manage objections or concerns
