About The Position

Liquidia is seeking a sales professional with an entrepreneurial mindset, a proven track record of success, and a strategic approach to territory management. This specialist will be responsible for traveling weekly to cover assigned accounts, growing sales, and managing all aspects of commercialization within their territory. They will serve as a key resource for physicians and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) involved in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension (PH). The role requires a deep understanding of the disease state, competitor products, and the unique issues and opportunities within each geography to tailor customer interactions. The Territory Account Manager will also act as a resource for HCPs and patients navigating access, reimbursement, and the distribution channel, and will leverage networks to enhance partnerships by creating opportunities for direct contact between key customers and home office staff. Frequent communication with other sales specialists and cross-functional counterparts is expected to ensure alignment of business plans, focus on strategic drivers, and share best practices. A strong commitment to compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and processes is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Proven track record of success in all respects of selling, i.e. technical knowledge, selling techniques, interpreting/analyzing data, and an in-depth understanding of medical field and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills, and influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Must enjoy and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty or orphan disease product sale of 3 years preferred.
  • 3+ years of Cardiology, Pulmonary, or rare disease sales experience preferred.
  • PAH/HCP Relationships is a plus.
  • Experience working on high value and/or orphan disease products in Cardio or Pulmonary therapeutic areas preferred.
  • Launch Experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Representing our product to a customer base, generating and growing sales, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets within a specific geographic area in a professional, compliant, ethical, and effective manner.
  • Utilizing deep understanding of disease state, relevant competitor products, and the issues and opportunities unique to each geography to tailor interactions with specific customers.
  • Acting as a resource for HCP’s and patients as they obtain access and reimbursement and navigate the distribution channel.
  • Using networks and relationships to enhance partnerships by creating opportunities for direct contact between key customers and home office staff.
  • Communicating frequently with other sales specialists across the country and cross-functional counterparts to create alignment of business plan, focus on strategic drivers, and sharing best practices.
  • Demonstrating mastery of and adherence to all relevant compliance laws, policies, and processes; ensuring actions of self and team are fully compliant.
  • Performing all other job-related duties as determined by business needs.
