Account Manager (US)

FiskalPhiladelphia, PA
Hybrid

About The Position

As an Account Manager, you will own the relationship between Fiskal and the clients we serve. You are the person our clients rely on to know what is happening, to make sure the work we are doing is the work they actually need, and to act when something is not right. What you own directly is client satisfaction, the prioritisation of work on behalf of the client, and the growth of the account. Everything else you report on, chase and escalate to the people who do own it. This position sits at the centre of our delivery teams and gives you real influence over how we serve a portfolio of long-term clients across e-commerce, distribution and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Experience in account management, client success or a client-facing delivery role, ideally in professional services, consulting or software implementation.
  • Confidence dealing with finance and operations stakeholders, including business owners and executives.
  • Strong written communication skills, as a significant part of this role involves written client updates.
  • Commercial instinct: the ability to notice when a client has a problem that Fiskal could solve and take action.
  • Discipline with tools and administration.
  • The willingness to have uncomfortable conversations in both directions, with clients and colleagues, without making them personal.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Monday.com or a similar work management platform.
  • An understanding of ERP systems, finance operations, or e-commerce and distribution businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building relationships with owners, finance leaders and operational stakeholders, and taking responsibility for their experience of working with us.
  • Send regular progress updates on projects and ongoing work, run check-ins at key milestones, and translate delivery detail into language that clients can act on. Manage expectations on scope, timing and next steps.
  • Speak up when client priorities shift, something new comes in, or the plan no longer matches client expectations. Raise issues with the delivery team lead as an equal partner, agree how it gets absorbed, and communicate the outcome back to the client.
  • Report on the status of project boards and work items to the client, and hold team members to account when records are not up to date. Notice when project boards no longer reflect reality and address it.
  • Track delivery against agreed service levels across accounts, raise issues internally when performance is slipping, and follow through until performance is back on track.
  • Pick up on dissatisfaction early, escalate it to the right people internally, and stay on it until it is resolved, ensuring no client concern goes unheard or unaddressed.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and projects through day-to-day client contact. Scope those opportunities with relevant leads, follow them through to signature, and support renewals and account growth.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • A defined portfolio of long-term clients rather than an endless pipeline.
  • Real influence over what the delivery team works on, as an equal partner to the team lead.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of industries and international business environments.
  • Clear career progression path within the firm based on performance and skills development.
