About The Position

Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) is seeking an Account Manager. This role involves receiving inbound calls from potential and current insureds, educating them about AFI's products and services, and finding the best coverage for their unique needs. The position requires the ability to multitask and use multiple computer equipment and software systems. AFI will cover expenses for the training and testing to obtain the required property and casualty personal lines license. Compensation ranges from $49,000-$58,000 annually, depending on experience, and is an hourly rate without commissions. A $500 signing bonus is offered to candidates who already possess an active and equivalent Property & Casualty and Allied Lines Producer license. After an initial training period and satisfactory job performance, this position is eligible for 50% telecommuting. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree, or two years of relevant work experience may be substituted for experience
  • 4 years of customer service or relevant experience (BA/BS Degree may be substituted for experience)
  • Keyboard skills of at least 35 wpm
  • Competent written communications skills
  • Ability to obtain a domicile state agent’s license, as well as non-resident licenses for all other states, within 90 days in the position, and to maintain unrestricted licensure thereafter if incumbent did not have prior experience in a position with this requirement

  • Excellent verbal communications skills, to include a courteous, confident demeanor and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures
  • Experience in the insurance or financial industry preferred
