Account Manager (UT, ID, WY)
About The Position
As one of the largest utility distribution organizations in America, Irby Utilities is uniquely positioned to provide dynamic solutions to essential utility services impacting our local and broader communities. This role is for a driven and competitive sales professional with a proven track record. In this role, you’ll forge lasting business relationships by pursuing opportunities and delivering first-in-class customer service. You will travel within your territory (Northern Utah, Southeastern Idaho, and Western Wyoming) to meet with current and potential customers, and make a positive impact on your local community while delivering exceptional services and solutions to our valued partners. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory or be willing to relocate there prior to employment. Regular travel throughout the territory is required.
Requirements
- Proven outside sales experience (3+ years).
- Strong consultative and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and presentation abilities.
- Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Travel within the sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers consistently.
- Drive revenue by developing new customer relationships and increasing business with existing clients.
- Cultivate and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers within your assigned territory.
- Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive results.
- Continually meet or exceed sales targets by offering company solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, customer accounts, and sales.
- Monitor industry competitors and market conditions to understand customer requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to build, maintain, and expand brand presence.
- Stay informed about industry trends, company products, and solutions.
