Account Manager, Institutional Corporate Client Group

PIMCONew York, NY

About The Position

PIMCO is seeking an Account Manager to join their Institutional Corporate Client Group. This role is designed for a recent MBA graduate (completed within the last 5 years) aiming for a long-term career in institutional client coverage at a leading global asset manager. The client management team consists of relationship management and sales professionals responsible for client relationships and business development. Account Managers represent PIMCO to clients and prospective clients, delivering investment solutions. This specific role involves partnering with senior Account Managers to support coverage of sophisticated institutional clients, ensuring preparedness for client engagements and timely handling of client requests. The role offers increasing opportunities for direct client interaction over time. Initially, the focus will be on understanding client objectives, portfolios, and priorities, and translating PIMCO's investment perspectives into client-ready materials. While senior Account Managers lead relationship strategy, this role supports those efforts and builds a foundation for future direct contributions. The position operates within a collaborative team supporting important clients and offers exposure to various PIMCO stakeholders, with an emphasis on learning, mentorship, and professional development. This is a relationship management role, not a dedicated sales role, suited for individuals motivated to build deep expertise in institutional client coverage. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, sound judgment, a client-centric mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. PIMCO offers a total compensation approach including base salary and a discretionary bonus, with the salary range for this position being commensurate with responsibilities, experience, market factors, and individual qualifications.
