About The Position

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Manager to join our growing team in the Greater Fontana area. This is a newly created hunter role focused on generating new business while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate has experience in aerial equipment, construction machinery, and medium/heavy-duty trucks and thrives in a fast-paced, face-to-face sales environment. You will work closely with our estimating team to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and drive revenue growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 3–5+ years of outside sales experience in vocational equipment, truck sales, or leasing
  • Proven track record of new business development and sales achievement
  • Industry knowledge of trucks, aerial equipment, or construction machinery
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Professional appearance and strong attendance record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Build and manage a full sales pipeline (prospecting → closing → account growth)
  • Identify and pursue new business through cold calling, networking, and in-person meetings
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers
  • Conduct onsite visits and travel overnight as needed to meet clients
  • Partner with CTOS estimating teams to develop competitive quotes and proposals
  • Accurately track all sales activities and opportunities in Salesforce CRM
  • Analyze market trends and segment prospects to prioritize opportunities
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and industry trends
  • Prepare regular reports (daily calls, weekly plans, territory analysis) for leadership
  • Resolve customer issues professionally and proactively
