About The Position

ABB Motion High Power is hiring an Account Manager for Chiller OEMs. This Account Manager will develop, implement and manage the Motion High Power account strategy for large Chiller OEMs, focused on share of wallet, growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. They will coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects and manage resolution of specific customer problems. The work model for the role is: hybrid in New Berlin, WI supporting the Motion High Power division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing of Medium Voltage/Large Variable Frequency Drives, Motors and related products involving heavy customization or brand labeling.
  • Previous experience / proven track record of successful account management and/or business development.
  • Industry experience in large chiller applications in commercial buildings, data centers and other industrial processes.
  • Experience building relationships with decision makers in complex, global matrix organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • 50% travel domestically
  • Requires a valid US Driver’s License.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and implements the Motion High Power account global strategy for large Chiller OEMs, aligned with the business strategy, such as portfolio development and manufacturing localization.
  • Understands the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business opportunities and risks of large Chiller OEM’s business and business environment and interprets the impact and opportunity for ABB Motion High Power Division.
  • Leads the development and implementation of the account plan and Share of Wallet (SoW) growth actions, including but not limited to, product development and introduction, custom variant development, standardization, price positioning, after sales support, considering the customer’s current business and long-term plans.
  • Defines and proposes sales targets for the account and ensures their achievement with a structured follow up process across Business Lines and Countries.
  • Sells products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets representing all ABB Motion High Power Business Lines.
  • Creates added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach (e.g. frame agreements, Approved Vendor List related actions).
  • Monitors competitors’ activity with the account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
