Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is building the future of specialty truck and equipment sales across North America. We supply new and pre-owned trucks, rentals, and custom equipment to utilities, telecom, rail, infrastructure, forestry, and specialty contractors. This role is for a sales professional with a background in construction vehicles, equipment, and heavy & light duty trucks. The position will report to the VP or Rental Sales. The candidate will be responsible for targeting new prospects, cold calling, conducting needs analysis, quoting, closing, delivery of trucks and equipment, and continuing relations with existing clients as well as establishing new relationships. A major aspect of this role will be increasing sales and accomplishing the sales goals set for them by the VP of Rental Sales. The primary focus will be new and used equipment sales in the Atlanta area, which includes tools and equipment, along with promoting the rental product line. This involves marketing analysis and segmentation to define key prospects, prospecting, cold calling, identifying customer needs, quoting, closing new business, and servicing existing accounts. The role requires obtaining orders and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing the daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors. The Account Manager will adjust sales presentations based on the sales outlet or trade factor, focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers, and keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses within Salesforce. They will monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques, and recommend changes in products by evaluating results and competitive developments. The role also involves resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, and professional societies is also key. The Account Manager will provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
