About The Position

We are an HVAC/R wholesale distributor throughout the Midwest and Mountain States, including Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. We thrive on being customer service oriented, being nimble, balancing multiple responsibilities, and developing positive relationships with our teams to work together to get the job done. This role requires an Account Manager who can be hands-on with technical support for our dealers and technicians in the field. Prior experience understanding HVAC systems is a requirement for this role.

Requirements

  • Prior experience understanding HVAC systems is a requirement.
  • 5 years (or more) of HVAC/R industry experience.
  • Residential HVAC experience is a must.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills (Outlook).
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented.
  • A proven track record of sales and selling skills experience.
  • Valid Driver’s license/driving record.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to meet mobility requirements which include walking, standing, reaching, leaning forward, bending, climbing, and able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be skilled in verbal and written communication and have sufficient education to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have basic math skills and able to perform or learn the requirements of the job within the assigned learning period.
  • Required to accept and follow all safety rules and policies, including the use of all mandated safety protective equipment.
  • Individual must agree to take pre-employment drug test and background check and comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for dealers and technicians in the field.
  • Meet customers’ needs by maintaining positive business relationships and delivering on promises.
  • Provide technical support and be present in branch locations daily for customers.
  • Teach techs and troubleshoot their needs as they call in and come into the branch location.
  • Assist the outside sales team in selling the right equipment and recommending the right systems for customer jobs.
  • Perform service advice and guidance on phone and/or in person.
  • Help manage service and parts operations at branch levels.
  • Perform equipment inspections, both local and possibly remote locations.
  • Provide training by assisting with developing and presenting product applications, installation and service programs.
  • Support dealers, technicians, and Territory Managers by being face-to-face with customers.
  • Have the opportunity to have assigned accounts.
  • Present and execute National Sales Programs and initiatives with Territory Managers.
  • Support the branch by assisting at the counter when needed, answering phones, and other duties as assigned.
  • Continually improve on sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Read and explain wiring and piping diagrams.
  • Provide customer service expertise and support to pricing, quoting, credit terms and orders, utilizing P21 and a CRM system.
  • Operate in a team environment with cooperation and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with warehouse, counter sales, and inside sales teams.
  • Operate and react quickly to customer needs.
  • Spend time initially learning the warehouse, counter, quoting, etc. to have a solid foundation in the inside sales role.
