About The Position

As an Account Manager at Definitive Healthcare, you will own a named book of provider accounts composed of health systems and clinics across the U.S. You will manage and grow a portfolio of client relationships by helping organizations unlock the full value of our healthcare commercial intelligence platform. You’ll serve as a strategic partner - identifying opportunities for expansion, driving renewals, and guiding clients on how to best leverage our data, analytics, and insights to achieve their goals. This role blends relationship management with consultative problem‑solving, working closely with Customer Success and cross‑functional partners to ensure clients see measurable impact from our solutions. Requirements

  • 3+ years of individual, quota-carrying account management experience, selling into provider organizations, health systems, or other healthcare focus markets
  • Experience selling technology, data, analytics, or research solutions into small to mid-market healthcare environments
  • Experience in account planning and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving quota against net dollar retention or blended revenue goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong negotiation, deal management, and closing skills for multi-year service contracts
  • Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism, energy, and empathy
  • Superior communication skills and proficiency crafting compelling narratives using MS Office tools
  • A. or B.S. degree

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute account strategies across a named book of existing small/medium sized provider accounts
  • Drive growth and collaborate with Customer Success to identify growth opportunities across therapeutic areas
  • Go “high and wide” in accounts to build relationships with potential buyers and influencers; take a consultative approach to identify client issues that DHC can solve
  • Initiate conversations about new opportunities and partner with DHC Customer Success and cross-functional partners to develop and close opportunities
  • Work with the Customer Success and Customer Experience Team to optimize usage and value of DHC services
  • Lead critical renewals conversations
  • Meet and exceed renewal and expansion quotas
  • Accurately forecast opportunities and utilize CRM to manage your portfolio
