The Account Manager is a client-facing role responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with assigned agencies, brokers, and employer/purchaser groups. This position supports the Sales Relationship Manager (SRM) and Account Executives (AE) by delivering consultative service that ensures client satisfaction while driving retention and growth for defined group of existing Commercial accounts. The role requires a strong understanding of Medica’s products, operational processes, and regulatory requirements, along with the ability to resolve complex service issues and lead cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional client outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 3+ years of work experience beyond degree, preferably in a consultative or relationship management role
  • State of WI Life and Health Insurance License, or obtain quickly after being hired

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a defined book of business, managing escalated service issues and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Partner with SRMs and AEs to support renewals and new business processes, including financial analysis and reporting.
  • Educate and consult clients on Medica’s programs, products, and administrative processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Lead and prioritize the work of internal teams to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements while aligning solutions with client needs.
