Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, business management clients, or private clients.
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and basic data analysis.
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client assignments, prioritize competing deadlines, communicate effectively with clients and team members, and consistently deliver accurate, timely work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multiple client accounts in a family office, business management, or public accounting environment.
  • Experience processing accounts payable, payroll, or bill pay.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books and records for high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held entities while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Process accounts payable, bill pay, invoices, deposits, wires, ACH transactions, and payroll in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations, identifying and escalating discrepancies as needed.
  • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger under established accounting procedures.
  • Assist with tracking and reconciling investment activity, including brokerage and alternative investment accounts.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, client reporting packages, and other financial schedules.
  • Monitor cash balances and assist with routine cash activity and reporting.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain documentation, resolve billing discrepancies, and support accounts payable activities.
  • Respond to routine client and vendor inquiries while providing timely, high-quality client service.
  • Collaborate with team members to support client deliverables, special projects, and continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain organized client records and documentation while adhering to firm policies and procedures.
