Requirements

  • Proven outside B2B sales experience, ideally within HVAC, mechanical services, construction, industrial, or facility-related industries.
  • Experience selling HVAC service agreements, preventative maintenance programs, repairs, replacements, or mechanical projects preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers, building owners, contractors, engineers, and decision-makers.
  • Understanding of commercial HVAC systems, maintenance needs, and facility operations.
  • A self-starter mindset with energy, resilience, and drive to succeed in a field-based sales environment.
  • Business acumen to discuss operational efficiency, equipment lifecycle, energy savings, and total cost of ownership.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within your territory (50–75%).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing service agreements or preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and mechanical service solutions.
  • Established relationships with facility owners, property managers, contractors, or commercial customers.
  • Experience identifying and selling HVAC replacement, retrofit, or improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities by building strong relationships with facility owners, property managers, commercial customers, contractors, and engineering partners.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend HVAC maintenance solutions, service agreements, repairs, upgrades, and special projects.
  • Perform customer visits and site assessments to uncover opportunities and develop value-driven solutions.
  • Build proposals, present recommendations, negotiate terms, and close opportunities.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships focused on retention, account growth, and repeat business.
  • Partner with service technicians, project managers, and operations teams to ensure successful execution of customer solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for HVAC replacements, system improvements, energy efficiency upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Represent Star Service Inc. at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecast opportunities, and consistently achieve sales goals.
