About The Position

Novelis is a global leader in aluminum recycling and rolling, providing sustainable aluminum solutions for aerospace, automotive, beverage packaging, and specialty markets. The commercial/sales team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking an Account Management Specialist to maintain customer account demand information, align customer demand with S&OP guidelines, communicate order status, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure customer service expectations are met or exceeded. This role also supports the sales function, resolves customer concerns, and provides training to new team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 0-2+ Customer service experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking ability
  • Computer/System skills (SAP, Excel, Power BI, Sales Force, etc.).
  • Shown ability to efficiently handle stressful or conflict situations/interactions with internal and external customers
  • Ability to manage time with minimal supervision and to prioritize multiple projects
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • ERP experience; SAP experience a plus
  • Business to business experience preferred
  • Manufacturing/chemical experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintains customer account demand information for either orders or forecasts as part of Order to Cash process, including inventory and warehouse management with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Align customer demand with monthly S&OP guidelines including plant/alloy/product allocations.
  • Communicates order status and information within the work processes as needed to ensure customer service expectations, both specified and non-specified, are met or exceeded. In collaboration with Commercial and Supply Chain, advises customers with respect to changes, i.e. advising of delays, forecast updates, product availability.
  • Work closely with customer contacts to sustain and improve customer service levels, and to develop service relationships with key accounts. Also, support sales function by helping follow-up on necessary actions from customer meetings related to growth and maintenance of all accounts.
  • Provides support or backup for other customer service-related functions or activities as required i.e. trial orders, initiating new customer master requests, hedging forward metal.
  • Participates in projects and process improvements, as assigned, representing customer service, materials, scheduling, and revenue concerns.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to resolve customer concerns.
  • Handles issues with assigned customers including low, mid, and high levels of escalation.
  • Provides training, support and mentoring to new team members.
