Gordon Food Service Store, the retail division of Gordon Food Service, offers the fast pace of retail in an environment that lets you balance your life and foster development for future growth. Our 190+ stores are the primary supplier for many small foodservice operators, families, non-profit organizations, caterers and so much more! As an Account Growth Specialist, you will be a critical link between our customers and store leadership for Gordon Food Service's retail operations. Your mission is to turn "lost sales" into loyal accounts and transform customer feedback into actionable solutions that drive revenue.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in kitchens or food service, with direct experience working with chefs, kitchen managers, or food service buyers.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills (required)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting persuasive outreach.
  • High proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sites, Drive, Docs, Groups), and CRM reporting/data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Excel).
  • A commitment to serving others, building trust, and valuing differences while delivering high-quality results.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Merchandising, or Marketing is preferred, though equivalent experience is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-volume outreach campaigns to reactivate customers and diagnose reasons for dissatisfaction to prevent future lost sales.
  • Use data to identify opportunities, communicating service improvements and new solutions to win back former accounts.
  • Actively seek out new high-value customers and identify opportunities within existing accounts to increase order frequency and product range.
  • Lead weekly strategy syncs with Store Managers to align on local opportunities, delivery capacity, and customer insights.
  • Provide real-time feedback to leadership regarding competitor tactics and local market shifts.
  • Maintain high data quality by documenting all call activity and customer feedback within our CRM.
