About The Position

TD Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to North American businesses, offering a broad range of products and services to meet client needs across all sectors with customized solutions for current and future strategies. The goal is to deliver a first-class business banking client experience and be "The Better Business Bank" in North America. Better business bankers at TD possess strong backgrounds in business and finance, specific product knowledge, keen insight into clients' industries, products, finances, and markets, and demonstrate good judgment based on education, experience, intuition, and street smarts. The TD Equipment Finance team is a center of excellence within Business Banking, focused on structuring equipment financing (leases and loans) for business clients and prospects as an alternative to conventional bank financing. This position, reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, TD Equipment Finance (TDEF), involves an Account Executive responsible for developing and closing new business through direct solicitation and referrals from TD Small Business Banking Units across the GTA & Surrounding Area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business
  • 5+ years of sales and/or customer relationship management experience
  • 5+ years of related experience in the financial industry or equipment financing

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and expertise to assigned Small Business Banking Districts to exceed annual TDEF sales, revenue, volume & new customer objectives, while contributing to overall business unit performance.
  • Solicit and fund a portion of direct business with the goal of making referrals to Bank partners as a future prospect for a deeper bank relationship.
  • Develop sales strategy within the region and build a strong pipeline for new potential customers to ensure ongoing success in the region, building new relationships and deepening existing customer relationships by consistently following the Business Bank Sales methodology.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external business partners and leverage these networks to increase referral flow.
  • Structure creative competitive equipment finance solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Assess credit requests to determine risk and make appropriate recommendations to the TDEF credit team for structuring the credit; prepare credit applications with a high quality of risk assessment, credit structure, due diligence, and credit presentation.
  • Deliver exceptional service at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Identify and respond to changes in the business environment, establishing action plans to address customer issues and priorities.
  • Enhance TDBG brand by participating at network events in your community – be the face of the bank "Deliver the Bank" by recommending, introducing and referring appropriate TDBG Business Partners and Products.
  • Understand the market and the industries within the portfolio to ensure value-added service is provided to clients while mitigating risk to the Bank.
