About The Position

Times Union Media Group is seeking an Account Executive or Strategic Account Executive to join their team. This role involves consulting with businesses to deliver custom print and digital media campaigns, managing an existing book of business, and driving new business through various prospecting methods. The position leverages exclusive AI tools to enhance performance and offers a hybrid work environment with a culture of growth and uncapped commission with competitive base pay.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience for Account Executive and 5+ years for Strategic Account Executive role with business-to-business sales experience, preferably in media, advertising, or marketing.
  • A successful history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Sales Cycle: From cold outreach to closing, consult with businesses to deliver custom print and digital media campaigns.
  • Manage Book of Business: Work with assigned existing clients to ensure campaign success and upsell additional solutions.
  • Build Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted marketing advisor, understanding client goals and recommending solutions across print and digital media.
  • Drive New Business: Prospect new leads through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and community engagement.
  • Leverage Cutting-Edge Tools: Utilize advanced sales platforms like ChatGPT Enterprise and Gong.io to increase efficiency and shorten the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work with account managers and internal teams for seamless campaign execution.
  • Track Performance: Manage pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce for accurate revenue projections and reporting.
