Account Executive

Encore Fire ProtectionLewiston, ME
Hybrid

About The Position

Externally, this position is called Account Executive. Internally, it’s referred to as SOW, short for Share of Wallet—because the focus is on expanding existing customer relationships rather than pursuing a long list of new accounts. You will partner with current Encore customers to expand services, secure renewals, add new locations, and become their go-to resource for all things fire protection. These are not cold leads; you are stepping into established relationships where Encore has already proven our value. Your mission is to deepen that trust, uncover new opportunities, and keep the partnership moving forward year over year. Success in this role comes from connecting with customers. If you enjoy helping customers, asking good questions, and spotting opportunities where others see routine work, this role will feel like a strong fit.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of professional experience, ideally in sales, account management, customer success, or other service-based roles
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with both internal teams and customers
  • Comfort working with tools such as Excel and PowerPoint, or Google Sheets and Slides, to track activity and support proposals
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, renewals, and follow-ups at the same time
  • A self-starter mindset with a team-first attitude, high level of ownership, and willingness to learn and adapt as the business evolves

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using CRM software, and experience with HubSpot is considered a strong plus.
  • Experience working in a private equity-backed environment where KPIs, growth targets, and value creation plans are a regular part of the conversation.
  • Prior experience in fire protection, life safety, building services, facilities management, or another recurring service-based industry.
  • Familiarity with ServiceTrade or similar industry specific service platforms.
  • Exposure to sales tools such as Dealhub, Convex Atlas, or ZoomInfo to support account planning and opportunity identification.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined book of existing customers with a focus on expansion, retention, and referrals.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across systems, locations, and services, for example inspections, service, monitoring, and projects.
  • Own the renewal process, tracking contract terms and dates, and engaging customers early to keep agreements current.
  • Source and track public and private bid opportunities tied to your accounts, so we stay ahead of upcoming work.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for your customers, helping them navigate questions and decisions related to fire protection.
  • Collaborate closely with service, installation, and operations teams to ensure a smooth, consistent customer experience from proposal through delivery.
  • Build, review, and coordinate proposals and supporting documents in partnership with internal teams.
  • Keep your activities, pipelines, renewals, and follow-ups organized and up to date in HubSpot, our CRM.

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Participation in our Fidelity 401(k) plan with a company match
  • Company-paid life insurance policy of $50,000
