Account Executive

Landmark Ventures•New York, NY
•$60,000 - $85,000•Onsite

About The Position

Landmark Ventures is seeking a highly motivated, resourceful, technically capable, and detail-oriented Account Executive to join the Marketing team within our Business Development Advisory practice. This is a high-output, execution-focused role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys combining research, technology, data, AI, communication, and problem-solving. The Account Executive will help manage outreach and marketing campaigns across multiple clients, own lead generation and prospect research, maintain high standards of data quality, and support client-facing initiatives and strategic projects, including in-person executive events. On any given day, you may move between building a targeted prospect list, researching executives and companies, using AI tools to accelerate research and content development, managing outreach campaigns, working within CRM and prospecting platforms, responding to client requests, preparing reports, and supporting an upcoming event. Success in this role requires more than strong communication skills. We are looking for someone who can learn quickly, leverage technology and AI effectively, execute at a high level, manage significant detail, prioritize competing deadlines, and independently solve problems without sacrificing accuracy.

Requirements

  • High-Output Execution: Comfortable managing a significant volume of work across multiple clients and priorities. Ability to move quickly without allowing accuracy or attention to detail to deteriorate.
  • Technical & AI Aptitude: Highly comfortable with technology and actively use AI and LLM tools to work more effectively. Understand how to use these tools to accelerate work without outsourcing judgment. Instinct to investigate, experiment, troubleshoot, and find a path forward when encountering unfamiliar platforms, incomplete information, or unexpected problems.
  • Resourcefulness & Independent Problem-Solving: Ability to take an objective, determine needed information or tools, make reasonable decisions, and move work forward. Knowing when to solve independently and when to escalate.
  • Research & Critical Thinking: Curious and analytical. Ability to understand a client's business, identify relevant companies and executives, synthesize information from multiple sources, and translate broad objectives into targeted action.
  • Ownership & Urgency: Take responsibility for outcomes, not simply assigned tasks. Proactively identify next steps, communicate when something is at risk, and consistently follow through.
  • Attention to Detail: Notice things others miss. Maintain a high standard for accuracy and quality when reviewing contact data, evaluating AI-generated research, preparing client deliverables, or launching outreach campaigns.
  • Prioritization & Adaptability: Ability to calmly assess competing priorities, determine what matters most, and adjust quickly when deadlines or client needs change.
  • Communication & High EQ: Excellent written and verbal communicator who can work effectively with colleagues, clients, and senior executives. Understanding nuance, communicating professionally, and knowing when to ask questions versus when to make a reasonable judgment and move forward.
  • Growth Mindset & Coachability: Welcome direct feedback, learn from mistakes, and apply what is learned. Motivated by increasing responsibility and becoming an increasingly valuable contributor to the team.
  • 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in business development, account management, marketing, sales, research, client services, consulting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using LLMs and generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or comparable platforms in a professional or academic setting.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with LinkedIn and sophisticated online research is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies, software, and workflows.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines and managing multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar CRM and prospecting platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Prior SDR or traditional sales experience is not required. We place significant value on demonstrated intellectual curiosity, technical and AI aptitude, resourcefulness, execution ability, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate outreach campaigns across multiple clients and initiatives.
  • Assess markets, companies, and decision-makers based on specific client objectives.
  • Build highly targeted prospect and account lists.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts and help maximize engagement through thoughtful, effective email communication.
  • Track campaign activity and identify opportunities to improve targeting and execution.
  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each client's business, competitive positioning, technology, target markets, and key stakeholders.
  • Research industries, companies, executives, use cases, applications, and emerging market developments.
  • Translate broad client objectives into actionable research and prospecting strategies.
  • Connect information across different sources to identify relevant opportunities, relationships, and decision-makers.
  • Exercise judgment when information is incomplete rather than relying solely on predetermined instructions.
  • Independently identify and generate new contacts, accounts, and opportunities on behalf of clients and Landmark events.
  • Conduct executive-level prospecting using LinkedIn, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, and other research tools.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and actionable prospect and campaign data.
  • Identify and resolve duplicate, incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate contact information.
  • Take ownership of data cleanliness and quality across assigned projects.
  • Demonstrate strong working proficiency with leading LLM and generative AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms.
  • Use AI effectively to accelerate research, synthesize information, analyze companies and markets, develop prospecting strategies, improve written communications, and increase overall productivity.
  • Write effective prompts and iterate on AI outputs to produce accurate, useful, and contextually relevant work.
  • Understand that AI-generated output requires human judgment. Independently validate facts, identify potential errors or hallucinations, and ensure client-facing work meets Landmark's standards before use.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and technology to improve existing workflows and increase both speed and quality of execution.
  • Become highly proficient with Landmark's technology and prospecting stack.
  • Use Excel and other tools to organize, analyze, clean, and manage prospect and campaign data.
  • Learn unfamiliar platforms and workflows quickly.
  • Independently troubleshoot routine technology, data, and workflow challenges.
  • Support strategic client projects and in-person executive events.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with internal leadership, colleagues, clients, and senior external stakeholders.
  • Understand the nuances of client interactions and exercise sound judgment around communication and follow-through.
  • Take ownership of deliverables from initial assignment through completion.

Benefits

  • Opportunities to grow professionally
  • Opportunities to take on increasingly significant client responsibilities
  • Opportunities to contribute across the firm
