About The Position

This role involves owning and growing key client relationships within the healthcare and financial institution sectors, focusing on payment automation and lockbox services. The Account Executive will drive revenue growth, manage end-to-end account operations, develop strategic account plans, and collaborate with internal teams to improve service offerings and operational efficiency. The position also includes leading complex commercial discussions, ensuring compliance, and providing mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Account Management, Client Services, or Consulting within: Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Payment Automation, or Financial Services.
  • Proven experience managing client portfolios with ownership of revenue and margin performance.
  • Strong understanding of Healthcare RCM workflows (e.g., ERA, billing, reconciliation) and Payment processing and/or bank lockbox operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive contract negotiations, and client expansion strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across product, operations, and finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior client stakeholders and internal leadership.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, pricing models, and revenue recognition processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage ambiguous and complex business challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Health + Financial Services (banking) intersection, especially payment automation or lockbox services.
  • Prior exposure to AI/automation initiatives in billing, reconciliation, or compliance workflows.
  • Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring teams and junior associates/managers.
  • Experience with client onboarding and large-scale implementations (multi-client or enterprise rollouts).
  • Familiarity with tools such as: Ticketing/workflow systems (e.g., Freshdesk), Identity/access platforms (e.g., OKTA), Billing/revenue analytics tools.
  • Strong track record in process transformation and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Strong track record in driving cost optimization and margin enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow key client relationships across a portfolio of healthcare providers and financial institution (lockbox) clients, ensuring high client satisfaction and long-term partnership value.
  • Drive revenue growth and wallet share expansion through contract renewals and renegotiations, and expansion of Payment Automation and Lockbox Healthcare service offerings.
  • Lead end-to-end account management, including financial performance (revenue, margin, forecasting accuracy), operational delivery oversight and service quality, and executive-level stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and execute account strategies (1–3 year horizon) aligned with client objectives and Guidehouse growth priorities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams to improve revenue recognition and billing accuracy, drive automation and process standardization, and enable scalable delivery models.
  • Lead complex commercial discussions and negotiations with healthcare systems and banking clients, including pricing, scope, and contractual terms.
  • Ensure compliance, governance, and risk management, including regulatory and contractual obligations and engagement governance frameworks and documentation.
  • Drive operational transformation initiatives, including implementation of tools, automation, and service delivery improvements.
  • Provide mentorship to junior account managers and analysts, improving team capability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate and work with offshore Delivery centers.
