About The Position

Critical Start is seeking a motivated and ambitious Account Executive to join their Sales team. This role offers remote work flexibility but requires candidates to be located in the assigned territory of North Texas/DFW area. The Account Executive will be responsible for driving revenue through new customer acquisition and expanding existing accounts by leveraging Critical Start's comprehensive portfolio, including managed detection and response services, professional services, and risk & compliance solutions. The ideal candidate is driven, resourceful, and eager to exceed goals, possessing a strong combination of industry knowledge, experience, and exceptional relationship-building skills. They will manage their territory autonomously while collaborating with internal teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and looking to accelerate their careers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related outside sales experience
  • Must be physically located in assigned geography: North Texas; DFW area
  • Experience partnering with technology value-added partner companies or manufacturers
  • Cybersecurity sales experience
  • Channel Sales experience
  • Experience with achieving quota attainment in a remote sales position.
  • Proven excellence in selling IT security solutions to enterprise organizations and running an effective sales process
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex deals involving multiple executive-level stakeholders and enterprise sales cycles
  • Successful record of prospecting, engaging, penetrating organizations at multiple levels, and acquiring major/enterprise-level customers, with an existing rolodex of customers and channel relationships within the assigned geography.
  • Previous work experience with sales tools including Salesforce.com, MS Office Suite & Teams, OneDrive, and other CRM/Marketing applications

Nice To Haves

  • Managed Service Sales experience a plus
  • Managed Detection & Response (MDR) experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as a cybersecurity advisor and point of contact for clients and prospects, providing expertise in areas such as endpoint security, network security, security operations, vulnerability management, SIEM, incident response, security assessments and testing, threat intelligence, and more.
  • Drive new business sales while managing the sales process from prospecting to closure, ensuring inclusivity and diversity throughout.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas while contributing to the accuracy and timeliness of customer, pipeline, and forecast data.
  • Manage and build relationships with resellers and partners from diverse backgrounds to drive business growth.
  • Deliver dynamic and engaging presentations and product demonstrations through various platforms, including MS Teams and in-person meetings, fostering inclusivity.
  • Execute the full sales process, including pipeline development by identifying and qualifying opportunities within your territory, and negotiating pricing and contractual terms to achieve successful sales closures.
  • Provide excellent service and support to prospects and customers, establishing and nurturing long-term business relationships.
  • Continuously build, maintain, and expand your knowledge to become an expert on Critical Start's inclusive solutions.
  • Occasionally travel may be required to provide support for marketing activities, events, and customer meetings across different states, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Utilize Salesforce or similar tools to track all relevant information related to opportunities and accounts, effectively managing your territory while promoting diversity and inclusivity.
