About The Position

Monarch Sky Insurance specializes in niche insurance programs. We partner with multiple carriers to tailor your insurance policy to your needs in both admitted and surplus lines insurance markets.

We're looking for an experienced Account Executive to own and grow our existing relationships and bring new ones into the fold. This isn't a build-from-scratch role — we have agents already appointed and writing with us. Your job is to activate them, deepen those relationships, and drive production. You know how to get in front of agents, how to speak their language, and how to motivate them to move business your way. If you've done this at another carrier and want to move to a focused niche program where you can make a real impact, this is your seat.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in a carrier-side Account Executive or Wholesale Broker role within property and casualty insurance
• Demonstrated track record of managing and growing a book of agency relationships and hitting production targets
• Strong understanding of how independent agents operate — how they prioritize carriers, what drives their submission behavior, and what keeps them loyal
• Experience with specialty, non-standard, or program markets is a strong plus; familiarity with real estate investor insurance (landlord, vacant property, builders risk, or similar) preferred
• Excellent relationship skills — agents should want to call you, not just hear from you when something goes wrong
• Ability to run your own schedule and operate independently without needing heavy structure or oversight
• Comfortable with CRM tools and disciplined about tracking activity and pipeline
• Willingness to travel for agency visits and industry events

Nice To Haves

• Existing relationships with independent agents who write for real estate investors, landlords, or specialty habitational risks
• Experience with E&S lines, MGA/MGU programs, or niche carrier environments
• Exposure to real estate investor communities, REIAs, or the fix-and-flip lending space

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a book of appointed agents and brokers, serving as their primary carrier contact and relationship manager
• Proactively reach out to existing agents to understand their books, identify opportunity, and activate those who haven't been consistently producing
• Train agents on our products, underwriting appetite, and submission process so they're equipped and confident to bring us their fix-and-flip business
• Conduct regular agency visits, calls, and check-ins to stay top of mind and deepen relationships with key producers
• Identify and appoint new agencies that write business for real estate investors, landlords, or adjacent niches where there's natural fit
• Partner with underwriting to push submissions through, troubleshoot tough accounts, and advocate for agents when it helps win or retain business
• Develop and execute account plans for top-tier agencies, including production goals, co-marketing opportunities, and training calendars
• Track production metrics, agency performance trends, and pipeline activity in CRM; report regularly on results and emerging opportunities
• Bring market intel back to leadership — what agents are hearing, what competitors are doing, and where we have product or pricing gaps
